In fact I would like to know how other WP blog site owners do it when they post to multiple sites and what kind of techniques / work arounds they use. I know there is some paid WP plugin but totally forgot the name.

you make posts at one blog (can be anywhere)

then use wp-o-matic plugin and rss feeds from that blog to post on other blogs...

Yes this one I know, to do it by RSS feed syndication. Do you also know if there is some WP dashboard to maintain several WP blog sites?

I use a plugin to post to several blogs, its call wordpress blaster.

there is a free software called blogdesk that allows u to post to serveral of your sites at the same time. it is nothing fancy, but it does the work.

You can do this easily using blogs organiser and you can easily change the different blog posts also using blogs organiser, you would have to subsitute words or phrases, it might not come out perfect, but you wouldnt have duplicate posts
