On a completely serious note, its very interesting the low regard fast food workers get. I guess this fuels the lack of reluctance of some people to go on welfare rather than work low wage / low status jobs. This is unfortunate for society as a whole because personal values and initiative suffer under welfare dependency. Maybe if we stigmatize low wage work less, we'd have more people working. Once they are working, they can then be exposed to values that would help them climb the socioeconomic ladder. Such exposure is completely lacking if they are unemployed and on welfare.
