How heavy is a kid that age?

Could a balloon that small really lift a kid off the ground. It's nowhere near the size of a hot air balloon. It doesn't look like it holds much helium.

Well, based on quick calculations, it would take about 1000 cubic feet of helium to lift 55 pounds. But I don't know how heavy a kid that age is.

That sounds like something I would have done when I was a kid.

My first thought when I heard that his older brother was the one that saw Falcon lift off, is that perhaps the older brother was goofing around and untied the balloon.

What a bizarre story...too bad if it ends in tragedy.
