Actually, it was on the first time. What was your score?Originally posted by Dragon Curve
Was that 163 on the 18th or 19th time you took the test Voodoo? =P

Hmm... I only scored 138. I feel cheated. I've taken a WAIS IQ test after more beer and less sleep and scored better than that. They didn't even cite what was missed, or explain the which why or how of the pitiful handful of SAT-like questions that supposedly point to the visionary philosopher bullshit.

120, looks like I'm the lower scorer in the group LOL.

The test really is meaningless.Originally posted by XXXPaysiteDesign

I have heard that there are sperm banks will accept SAT scores in lieu of an IQ test, even though high SAT scores have been shown to have less statistical covariance than, say, gender for determining college grades. But that doesn't stop the madness. MENSA and the other pretentious IQ societies consider these two kinds of tests equally valid. It's possible to study for either kind of test to ensure a perfect score (I've tutored for companies that do this). Which is one of many reasons why a bell curve meritocracy is kind of a joke.the sound of one hand googlewhackingComment

These kind of tests are not accepted as respectable IQ tests, in other words: they are worthless, but if you want to waste time..... ;-)Comment

It's part of the test, if you do it twice you instantly fail!

These tests are fucking stupid. They would be ok if they would remove the dumb questions, and had people with IQs of more than 120 making the test. I found one in which you could hit the back button and change anwers, and doing so they had several questions in which the right answere scored wrong on the test. That's the story of my life, being told I am wrong because the person making the test isn't smart enough to realize my answer makes more sense than the answer the text books says is right. If everyone only did what the text books say, then who the fuck is going to innovate to move our society forward?
Here's one question I remember:
Bob decides to go skiing with Jill. He rents a car for $50 for the weekend, and picks Jill up halfway to the resort. On the trip back, he drops Jill off. Gas cost $10 for the whole trip. Bob pays for it all, at first. How much does Jill owe Bob?
Test answer: Jill owes only the percentage of the travel distance she was in the car. Trip cost $60 total. Only 1/2 of the time Jill was in the car. So $30 is paid by Bob for the 1/2 of the trip he was alone. The other $30 is split, for the time they were both in the car. Jill owes $15.
RIGHT ANSWER: They agreed to go on a fucking trip together, so it costs them $30 each. Who the fuck splits cost by travel distance?Comment

I wonder what kind of dumpy jalopy Bob rented for a whole weekend for fifty bucks.

Sounds like George Costanza made up the answers to this test.

That test is crap. I scored a 133, and I'm pretty sure I got them all right.
There was one question I wasn't 100% sure on (the last one, with the shapes - I chose the one with the two small shapes - the circle and the triangle).
Other than that, I got them all right. Unless I made a careless mistake somewhere, which I don't think I did. This place is too big.Comment

I thought that question was a bit odd as well, and I also chose the smallness of both being the most otherly attribute. I kinda wondered if there were a different max IQ for each set of questions. Whatever, it's all crap.Originally posted by TeraBabes
