Business Monetizing major tubes..... or not?

I have been told recently that I am making a huge mistake by NOT mentizing my clips on major tubes ( x Ham, Xvid, PornHub etc..). I understood that short clips ( mine are 3 to 7 min.) may not be worth monetizing ???

Some of the clips on each tube, have over 2,000,000 views each, many over 1 mil. most in 100's of thousands. I have about 400 to 500 such clips on each of the major tubes....If I "ball park" a single tube it may have over 10,000,000 hits combined.

.... am I missing something here? Any advice would be appreciated.

Why not put some of your oldest, but full length content up for an experiment? See if you earn from it or not?

If not, no biggy - If it brings in some coin, you can re-evaluate from there?

I'm sorry but I may be misunderstanding your thread here. You DO have videos on all the big tubes with millions of views, yes? Then you ARE 'monetizing' big tubes already. (I am assuming there are links, watermarks and banners on your videos.)

Now if you mean the various adshare programs these tubes have then I can understand your point. For me and my sites I find a combination of both works well. In other words, sending out smaller clips (6-8 minutes) and the occassional full length video.

Of course only you can decide if the additional exposure and video lengths will help or hurt your sites but I suspect longer videos will only help.

It would defeat the purpose in his case (VOD) and the only thing I can imagine working here is uploading watermarked behind the scenes, outtakes, and such bonus material with the site link in the description.

          Yes and No;

          I have a VOD site ( about 60 original movies 90 + min each).
I have somebody watermark and post to tubes short clips ( 5 to 7 min.) from each movie.

So yes, I get some hits to my site because of the watermarking.
But no, I have NO deal with any tube that they pay me for the millions of views of these clips. ( you call it an "add share", I do not even know what it means )
Anyway , thanks for your reply.

No, it will not work. If I put a "freebie" up to some tube, the revenue for that movie would drop to "zero". Even the movie made in late 90ties still generates a couple of grand in VOD fees. Likely more then the clicks on the uploaded tube whole movie version.

Not quite sure what you actually mean, but I do NOT have ANY behind the scenes stuff, since my crew ( and me) also works making mainstream movies for/with major US studios so IDing my crew is a NO NO on our set.

Okay I understand better now. You want to protect your VOD sales, totally understandable. But if you are editing 3-7 minute clips anyway for the tubes why not try bumping it up just a little to 10 minutes and join some ad share programs? This way you kinda get the best of both worlds. You get views and revenue from the tubes while still half or more of your movies are not 'out there' on the web for free. I would test it out with a couple 10 minute clips and judge from there.

Either way I do not benefit from any of this. LOL Also cool your crew works with mainstream studios so I bet the quality of your films are outstanding!

Thanks for your answer, you obviously know your stuff.

If I understand you correctly. In order to have some sort of "share programs" there are minimum running times? 10 min or more? So, 2,000,000 hits lets say on xHam on a clip 5 min long, running now for 5 years cannot be monetized ( via share), because it is too short?

FYI: All our stuff is feature length real movies with exclusively lesbian content, formerly known as WIP movies. ( and yes, we " kill" all bad men before they can unzip their fly). And yes, they are professionally developed and produced. Each is scripted differently, but have a common story thread: " Some innocents fall into the hands of some nasty slaver/warden/judge bitches". These happens in the past, present or even in post apocalyptic future.

I'm not sure what it is for pornhub but XHamster now requires videos to be 20 minutes plus and XVideos requires 10 minutes plus to be eligible for their ad revenue program if you have a studio account. XHamster has stricter requirements to get your videos qualified as well, for example no duplicate content, no compilations, cetera. They are looking for unique first time uploads.

That is correct. A shorter 5 minute video cannot be monetized. But a 10 minute clip can be so perhaps XVideos and Pornhub's Content Partner Programs would help you. XHamster is great for traffic but as mentioned their requirement is now 20 minutes so that would not work for you. However, their Faphouse Program could work well for you so I would check that one out.

Your movies sound unique and awesome! I can see why you have been doing this for years now. Keep going!!
