I use Fetch (http://fetchsoftworks.com/) it supports FTP and SFTP and it's pretty cool.

I like CyberDuck integrated with TextWrangler, both are free, but my developer likes Transmit.

I am giving CyberDuck a try right now being the first free client! the other two have 15 day trials tho if this does not work out.

transmit <- it does what it says on the box.
I trust software that is named aptly. I dont' trust fetch cos if I want to send something, I'm half afraid that it'll bring it back

Depending on what you're downloading maybe it SHOULD be a dump truck...

Anyway, I use Transmit on those occasions when ssh/scp is not supported.
