Do not care if it is a toy gun. Looks real enough. Again this is parenting people. Realistic gun or any realistic weapons should not really be handled that way.
I am also not one of those that even thinks toy guns lead to using real guns or any of that BS. Just iratates me to no end, other kids will see it, may not be only child, whatever. It is all part of training them.Comment

I used to hang out with this girl who's dad was an ex-Russian Kgb guy that defected when she was born and he and I would hang out and "have some shot" as he would put it when he was pouring the alcohol in his living room with the his tv blasting AC/DC dvd's. We did Clan MacGregor Scotch with a piece of dark chocolate to chase it... a really fucking great shot quite honestly... whenever he got on a tear, he would always pull out his collection of guns that he had stashed around the house and show them to me and whoever else was hanging out and partying with us that night... his daughter, a smoking hot girl in her early twenties that I used to kick it with (we met thru her brother that used to do laser lighting for clubs with my buddy Alex when she was REALLY young) had a desert eagle with a scope on it.. not a laser scope mind you, but a scope that put a red dot where the bullet would go when you looked though it but not on the actual target mind you... and she knew how to shoot it. We would go to the mountains and just shoot sometimes, ya know...
But with all of that in mind and all of the gun toting people in this world that I have encountered... I have never seen such a picture that turns my stomach as much as this one. Whoever this girl is, she is a waste of flesh.. I cannot.. no I will not look at this image and think.. "OH how funny!!" this picture disgusts me.

When I was a kid, which would be around same time as you. Our toy guns except perhaps for a couple of the toy rifles could not be mistaken for a real gun. Our squirt guns were see through and light blue, green, red, pink, etc. Our cap guns were about the size of a derringer although very blockish, unless you got the silver cowboy style one which still looked like a Gene Autry joke.
Even late at night a cop would never mistake it for real either.
I have no issues with gun ownership. I do have issue with this though and it is not any part of being PC.Comment

You must of had shitty toy guns lol. Shit I had a bb gun at 8 or 9, and had a .22 bt 11 or 12. Was taught proper gun use by my father. To never point it at anyone, to all assume it was loaded, etc etc. Never had an issue, never had a problem. Had .22 rifle, and a 22 revolver that I made custom hand grips for. Got my first glock at 17, had carry permit at 21, carried for years before I moved to TN, and about to get my permit for down here now.
So moral is. I was taught about guns early on. The correct way to handle them etc. A baby unknowingly putting a fake plastic light little toy gun in its mouth is not a huge concern. Maybe in bad taste, but unlikely to cause any issues. lolComment

I had BB guns as a kid, had my first 12 gauge by the time I was 10. Both me and you were talking about toys though, hell read what you wrote and what I quoted. It was fucking squirt guns.

Now you talk about you were taught early on, blah blah. Yes the baby does not know better, however the walking vagina holding it sure in the fuck does. Would you react the same if it was say just a pop top bottle of aspirin in the babies hands, perhaps a realistic but still fake knife? Baby could easily pick up a real one of those next time.

Any more arguments? Or are we done? Again as I said you had shitty toy guns growing up apparently. Not only that, but most of mine were at least cap guns, so not only did they look realistic they also made a gun fire sound, and emitted smoke after shooting.
We didn't have red coated barrels and all that pc shit.
Now why did I talk about bb guns, and guns I had growing up after the toys? Because my father taught me gun safety from an early age, and I learned to respect guns. However, if you think you can teach a 6 month old gun safety, or that you should because they picked up something and put it in their mouth its obvious that you have never had children which I know you haven't. Kids put things in their mouths at that age. Keys, fists, fingers, stuffed animals etc. They don't care what it is. They are teething and want something to chew on.
You have an extreme issue if you think you should be hitting or yelling at a 6 month old for putting a toy in their mouths. Yes that girl must be such a terrible parent because her child picked up a total and complete plastic toy and put it in their mouth. Im sure the rest of the children in the world will now all follow suit and raid their parents gun cabinets and proceed to put guns in their mouths and pull the trigger. It will be a huge epidemic and millions of children will die.
The shit said on this board is downright silly sometimes. I used to have a rifle in my trunk everyday I went to school. Swat was never called. Shit half the trucks in the parking lot at school had deer rifles in the back windows. Never had one person shot, never had to set up metal detectors. Students would go out hunting right after school. Change into their cammo winter hunting suits before they left the school. Strapped on hunting knifes etc right there in the school. We never had a problem.
