Yeah, of course. I used to reg the shit out of a bloghost that always ranked good in google.
weightlose.bloghost.com
loseweightdiet.bloghost.com
and so on.
I did only post one blogpost on each blog and they nearly always showed up on the first or second page in google. But then the bloghost decided to change domain for some reason and now I can't rank anymore.

Yes of course you can. No need to put blogs that you are going to hand update and give love on freehosts though, but sometimes for SEO and feeder purpose they are nice.

Tony I made hundreds of thousands of dollars using free hosts.
While that was many years ago, the same principles still apply today, check this post I made a year or so ago about free hosts.
