as a tourist? yes. and Bob wrote about the political murders and garrisons back in the 60's and 70's. as a tourist, nope, still not welcome. but I was getting slammed for living here
a single, slender, paleface on my own and I do everything I can to share with my town (St Ann parish rocks) and people reciprocate. it's really not complicated. act well, be well. I never want for anything here. anything I need help with it gets done. I do the same in return
interesting you mention Marley. reggae used to be as much of a thorn in the gov's backside as dancehall was in the past few decades
Black street music. poor people music. very scary. Bob got a pass eventually cuz the world loved him. dancehall artists got arrested all the time cuz...dancehall
it's very obscene. hide your children
I think that's politically one of the coolest things about this place. the role of music in shaping One Love, no violence, building better. Bob def had a role in that. I wasn't here for the Seaga years but learned enough to know how music helped shape change
violent garrisons created by psychopathic politicians are safe now. I live across the street from one. no guns, women and kids esp are safe there
people have tried to tear me down for not having kids, for working in adult, for having two cats and living in a country I love. it's just comical
and I tip like I should
come visit JA. promise we won't eat you
