I think the best strategy is to be aggressive and bash Bush. Come election time, the Democrats will face an aggressive
Karl Rove. I wonder if the Democrats will be able to find someone as good as Carville. Rove is going to be 4 years better. Something to keep in mind.
Usually, the better strategy for the trailing party is to sling mud.
Usually, you lose some of your own votes but gain more of your opponents. Not as good for the leading party as they have more votes to lose.
Side note. I'm in South Florida. I've received a call from the Republicans already this year and not the Democrats. They are looking for money and also looking to influence voters with a questionnaire that asks leading questions and commits one to a Republican view.
