Where to go before Las Vegas in january?

Hi All,

Before i go to the AAEE and Internext i am thinking about travelling 1 or 2 weeks in advance and visit other places in the USA. What is a nice place with good temperatures to stay from around 28 december till 6 january? We like travelling, so we don't have to stay in 1 place. Which cities would you visit? We are in no rush, we will come back to see the other parts of the usa.

The flight tickets and hotels are this year even cheaper than last year

San Diego is nice. Not really warm, but temp is probably 60's - 70's around late decmeber. Otherwise, id go to Miami

NewYears in Vegas is worth going early! Otherwise you can visit Miami, Austin, or San Diego and have fairly decent chance of good weather.

I actually didn't think New Years in Vegas was anything special when i went a couple of years back.

Maybe i just went to the wrong places...

I also thougt in the direction of Miami. And else Los Angeles/San Francisco/San Diego with a rental car. But i understand the temperature could be disappointing there. I think i go after a trip Miami/Key West than to Las Vegas and back to Holland. Maybe for Christmas also, it is here cold and windy that time of year.

I'm doing the same sort of thing this year, except I'm going to backpack through the Grand Canyon for 4 days before going back to Vegas.

LA, SF or Vegas for new years maybe and the Grand Canyon is a must see area.

So the Grand Canyon is also possible, no snow in that time of year?
Than LA,SF, Grand canyon also looks fine. maybe California.
So much heared abut those cities, never seen them.
I think i better wait for a last-minute to see what the weather is.
It makes it easier when we stay in the neigbourhood of Vegas.

My GF certainly want to see the stripclubs in Vegas also But i must beware where i put the dollars for the stripgirl. And i must not dare to come to close to Claudia Marie, she didn't like that picture ;)

Jack, a romantic weekend, winning a prize and good thai food in Groningen. Nice seeing you here this lucky weekend. Next time we bring you to a good indonesian restaurant.

Nevermind the temperature come to NYC the week of Christmas and spend New Years here...then go warm up in Vegas.

Well, I am planning some trip to west coast before Internext too. I certainly planned to visit LA, SF, San Diego and Las Vegas. I will be going to Hawaii for a week too... I guess it'll be fun ;)

Yes we go together. I want to see more of the USA, and that's more fun together. We'll meet and eat in Vegas Maybe we leave at january 2, go to Grand Canyon, go to Las vegas and than Los Angeles, San Francisco, san Diego etcetra. Much cheaper to travel after the holidays, we better spend that money on tickets Brasil in june or on a real american rental car.

Ok, i have made a schedule. We take a flight to San Francisco, rent a car and leave from Las Vegas. Tickets are only 934 euro for 2 persons. Any suggestions about the trip?
