If the crew for the new program knows what they are doing a new program can still make money but the way things are today if the program is run by someone that is new to the game they won't make money cause it's way too hard to start today if you don't know what you are doing..

It depends on various factors - internal as well as externel. You can even sell a standard porn site today if you are doing it right.

Your question can´t be answered, I think. You need to be more specific.

If you have a unique product, good marketing skills, quality traffic and a sufficient amount of money to invest, you will be able to build a succesful affiliate program even in todays market.

i'm thinking honestly you're not very successful. most successful entrepreneurs fail MANY MANY more times than they succeed.

If the idea is valid, you shoot it in quality over quantity, protect the content from day 1. Then you would be mostly there. Add in the number of contacts you have and you will at very least see a positive cash flow even in todays times. How much and how long, I could not answer as I have zero idea of what you want to make.

What chance? Well, I'd say there is a good chance their exclusive content would be stolen and uploaded to tube sites.

my lowest ebb wouldn't be related primary to financial wealth in my current Canadian society. I could slip way lower - and welfare here in canada isn't even that bad so I don't see material things as the end all be all. If i have basic needs like food and cloths, a roof over my head and health care, what else do I really need? The rest is fluff - sure it's nice but in the end it's all just fluff

Family, health, state of mind, friends - those are the things that could fuck up and take me to bad places.

My wife was a teacher and I said to her one day - KNOWING I would make millions one day that I'm capable of taking big risks that I will probably go bankrupt one day and make it again. I WARNED her seriously about that. And I said if that DIDN't happen by age 45 I would put all my assets in trust and start from scratch. She flipped. She said no fucking way could I give everything away or loose everything. years later I left her LOL

Some things in life I've always just KNOWN - I always KNEW i'd go bankrupt at least once in my life. Honeslty ALWAYS KNEW it. and I'm happy it was for a decent sized number!

I come from a family of people who work for themselves and gamblers. Some of us get the rush in a casino - others in business. I'm the latter.

A life changing moment for me was when i was, shit can't remember the exact age but somewhere between 8 and 14 - with my father, great uncle daniel and one of my dad's friends driving home from the race track late at night. My great uncle danial made millions in the 60's in the concrete biz. Anyway my dad was in the front seat and daniel was driving. My dad was whining about loosing to much money (he still could feed the family but he def lost to much that day) - he went on and on about it for about 30 mins (it's an hour drive home on an empty highway) till suddenly daniel hit the brakes and everyone kissed the windshield. He turned and looked to my Dad and said - " what the fuck are you whining about - you work for yourself - go make some more" - that kinda defined there and then how I look at money from a philosophical standpoint.

Daniel was able to live comfortably (actually really comfortably) his whole life till about a year or two before he died. He ran out of money - and laughed that he lived too long. 2 years before he died he gave his last asset to his daughter - his house for her and her family to live in - and went on social assistance. He always said he never regretted it.(he was in his 80's, it was his time)


Do I have regrets - sure as hell I do but hopefully I learned from them. I could have bailed way earlier on the real estate thing and walked away with piles of money - I made a conscious calculated decision to go all in. It wasn't made lightly. It looked like it would work at the time. I was wrong.

when you think about it - statistically people go though 7-10 major job changes in their life. I've done a few already....

I tend to look at the bottom line - and even bankrupt I have it better than MANY people I know and probally make more money then 95% of GFY. I have a nice house in Gimli, a resort town, new(ish) car, great furniture, 3 big screen tv' s- etc etc etc all legit in the bankruptcy.... LOL and I only got 6 more months till I'm free and clear. I have WAY more money then when i was a student.. and a better lifestyle, and all my RRSPs and other legally protected assets.

I could have probably retired when I divorced my wife had I hidden all my assets then - so this is the second time I've kinda lost it all. She got a boatload of cash and real estate and i took the biz.

I'm not the smartest guy but I learn. I'm not one to want to hang onto regrets. I don't think I made any major wrong moves online - it's the bar and real estate deal that sucked me dry. I still keep thinking I want to try again in the bar biz but I didn't like that biz so i'm moving away from it. Just don't like failing is all. In the future will I be more conservative - yes and no. I'll still take risks. I'm still technically single (living with someone) so I don't have kids to worry about yet - with that I'll probably protect more.

Unique stuff always has a good chance, just don't forget the fundamentals.

Oh hell yeah new programs have a shot. I think it takes a true believer though. I think the thing is to have someone up front who truly knows that the product being offered can make some sales and loves talking about it.

Find someone with good communication skills, likes people and has a passion for the program (and not just the money) and you have a great combination to move forward with.

Find someone or do it yourself that can be involved with all aspects of site development and marketing for a smooth transition from billing companies, members and affiliates. That why my title is 'manager' and not just 'affiliate manager'. I love doing what I do and I think that has contributed to some of our programs success and I think anyone with the right attitude can do the same thing

A program that has no in-house traffic? Probably no chance at all.

You can still make a shitload of money with the right niche and paysite. Luckily you won't have much competition nowadays, people still produce the same boring content, so anything fresh will do just great.
