Anyone who thinks that a Mac works better than a PC is a drunk converted fool.

Here are the spec of my PC:
Proc: i7 core 950 3.0GHz
RAM: 12gigs DDR3 1336
MotherB: X58 Chipset
Primary HD: 320gig 15000rpm
GPU: ATI 4890 1 gig

A friend of mine has the newest current Mac Pro Tower that has two physical Intel Xeon Procs that does NOT out perform my single chip i7 core!

Apple have yet to put a true i7 core in their machines. So do not come at me with Mac bullshit! When Apple installs true i7 procs in Macs then they will be on the level of a i7 PC.
Go to Intel.com read the specs on the i7 core and the Intel Xeon “Nehalem” processor
They are not the same. The i7 is the fastest and widest bandwidth proc to date. They have four levels of cache that are far greater than Xeons as well.

Now when it comes to which OS you prefer I will not argue that at all.

I like Apple mainly because of their quality product line. Quality does matter to me, and I don't mind spending extra bucks to get top of the top.

I have a quad core PC machine back home that rocks, I paid around 2k$ for it, but I love my macbook pro because it's also very fast and the operating system is amazing: finely tuned, stable, fast!

The best of all, MacBook Pro is at the same price range as its level competition, like Sony Vaio or Dell XPS. It's not much more expensive than those, yet it has better hardware and boy it is so sexy

The same goes with iPhone, iPod touch, iMac, and so on and so forth.

Man people are just too caught up with the outside of the machine to realize that inside an intel based machine is all the same parts!

You don't understand. The hardware is the same as the high end laptops. Mac uses the newest CPUs in their machines, and with their new upgrade that is about to come all iMac and MAC Pros will use i7. I heard they'll even make macbook pros with i7 inside too.

The point is the price which is nothing more than the same level other high end laptops.

On the apple site I just read that memory controller only allows 1066MHz
(The integrated memory controller, along with fast 1066MHz DDR3 ECC SDRAM)
This is the CURRENT model available now!

My PC has a full clock that allows up to 3600MHz memory controller same as Alienware.
However my memory is only 1333MHz, but that is still faster than 1066MHz.

Again I am not talking about what they WILL do tomorrow. It is what they make today!

Hollywood is full of a bunch tight as Jews! Stuck in the mindset of Mac, like red necks who think Chevy is better than Ford

Again I will stress, PC is not better than mac, nor is Mac better than PC.

Find me something as nice and easy to use as this: http://www.panic.com/coda/ for windows and you might have a point. Simple fact is each platform has their own benefits and drawbacks.

btw I own both Mac & Pc. I prefer to do somethings on the PC and some of the Mac, if I had to pick one over the other then it would likely be the Mac, because I can always run windows on it as well.

I have been on a Mac for 5 years. Before that i was on a pc for 14 years. I Knew how to build them and fix all of my friends PCs when they were fucked up.

The big difference i have noticed when i switched was that there were zero software conflict and zero problems. I have 2 Macs and i run the shit out of both of them.

I had one render HD video for 2 weeks strait and my mac book pro processes 5k photos a week every week.

One time i had a problem with my G5. My G5 strait blew up after 5 years of serious abuse with work. I dropped it off to the Mac store for repair after my warranty has been expired for 3 years. I got a phone call from Mac and they told me the cooling system blew up and this machine needs to be replaced. Then they said that what happened was not so-pose to happen so the replaced everything in it for free even after the warranty was way expired. WTF????

I was so blown away by their attention to my needs. I wrote off that Mac and was shopping for another to replace it when i got the call. I still have not replaced any of my 2 macs. Both work fine. I up graded my hard drive in my Mac Book Pro to a 500 gig and am happy with its performance. If both macs were stolen, i would be fine with that, because i know that i got my moneys worth in the work both put out.

So to debate whats better is a waste of time. I know what is better for me and for what i do. I have a lot of money riding on everything i do with processing content and meeting deadlines. My clients do not want to hear that my PC crashed. I would remember night mares with software conflicts with PCs and the time it took me to fix mine and my friends PCs. I never want to go back to that shit again.

Im guessing that there have been big improvements with Pcs in the last 5 years, but to only have one problem with 2 Macs in 5 years and for Mac to replace everything for free even when the warranty is way done, keeps me using Mac. Mac is my choice and i think that people whos job depends on their computer and know the difference would also agree. And im not gay or brain washed.

What you apparently don't know is that "Core i7" is the branding of desktop processors using the Nehalem architecture. The branding of workstation/server processors with the Nehalem architecture, meanwhile, is simply Xeon "Nehalem".

When I had dinner with some friends and family last week, everyone was checking their messages during dinner. It looked like a fucking iPhone convention. I'm the sole loser with the best phone at the table, the Droid Bionic.

The motto is Think Different, but it doesn't really apply anymore. Apple is a cult, and you're not cool if you don't have one of those silly fucking phones, and use those crappy white headphones.

Well said, OP. Even if I liked apple overpriced stuff I could not buy one because I would feel like fucking sheep with the same device as every second Joe on the street.

I won't speak for other Apple products, but the iPhone is still the best smartphone there is IMO.

Most available apps.

Highest resolution screen.

Most battery life by a HUGE margin.

Slimmest design.

Most secure OS and most secure available apps, (everything must pass quality control and there are rules on what an app can and can't do). On Android ANYONE can put ANYTHING out there.

Then there are the little things, scroll pages and it's 100% fluid, never with an ounce of hesitation. Can't say the same for Android powered phones.

Go to select text for cut and paste, it goes to the exact sentence you point at and the selection rolls across each letter. Do it on Android and it selects a whole of text and goes words or even paragraphs at a time, (frustrating as fuck).

Responsiveness of the touchscreen is still unsurpassed, in-fact, I'd say it's almost TOO responsive. Touch something on accident with a graze and it's opening up immediately.

Things I hate about the iPhone.

iTunes, (so annoying having to use that turd software to sync my phone).

Small screen, come on Apple everyone else has a 4.0inch+ screen. Get with the program.

No customization, while the OS is insanely intuitive as is, I'm getting bored of looking at it.

When the Google Nexus Prime is announced I will consider jumping ship if Android 4.0 is more refined than it's clunky predecessors.
