I personally dont see the point in killing animals to either a) keep warm or b) look like you have $$.
There is no need for fur, synthetic fabrics and materials can give the appearance and texture of fur without taking lives of innocent (and sometimes endangered) animals!

I don't really care either way... I mean I like sleeping on large bear pelts... they're warm and soft... I don't think I would wear anything but leather shoes... synthetic just doesn't have the right feel...
though I would definately prefer to have the whole animal, or at least know that it wasn't killed, skinned and then left to rot. I believe in the use of the whole animal...Comment

I wouldn't wear fur, personally. I eat meat, but I do go out of my way to buy things like free range eggs and I won't eat certain things like veal because of the way the animals are treated.
I don't believe it's wrong to eat animals but I also don't believe in being unnecessarily cruel. I also don't care for waste. I don't know whether fur companies try to make use of the parts of the animal that are not made into clothing, but I kind of doubt it. At least in the case of meat it could be argued that people have to eat (please don't bother with the "you can get your protein from peanuts" crap), but fur is purely a status symbol/luxury item.

The part of the fur industry I have a problem with especially are the Leg Traps. Ever seen one in action? I can't think of a more hideous way to die. Having your leg being crushed out in the freezing snow, no water, no food, for what maybe up to a week til some dumb fuck trapper comes by to pickup his half dead animal and then heartlessly puts his big fat fucking foot on the animals neck to finish to suffocate him and finish him off. The fur industry can GFY several times over in my opinion.
Bunch of dirtbags. At least figure a way to do it a lot more humanely if you are into fucking killing animals for profit.
