Ok if not the avatars... how about the music videos, most of the satire videos, image shack photos, posting of motivational pictures with copyrighted content in them, hot linking of photos from google images, the sounds used in advertising here and other forums, funny pic/hot girls of myspace type threads... and I can go on for hours.

What recourse does a current complainer have if they want a video off a tube site? Email them and ask for it to be removed? Fine. What if it's multiple videos? Wouldnt someone want to know who the fuck uploaded them all? Nobody wants any legal cover, OR legal recourse? Well for fuck sakes just say so and be done with it entirely.
LEGAL sites that accept user submitted content have to cover themselves and make the good faith effort of requiring uploaders to be in posession of the rights to distribute the content. Thats it! Hey I'll tell you right now that I withdraw every complaint I ever made if every request for content removal was honored 100% of the time and promptly and efforts are made to prevent a reoccurence of the violation.
