    rate my pc upgrade

    upgrading from an i5 6600k I had for like 8 years
    it actually still does everything I need it to.. but I figure it's time............

          It's a decent upgrade for an 8-year-old system. I'd up the ram from 32GB to 64GB but that's just a personal choice.

                      Windows 11 is a step down from Windows 10 in my opinion

                              You are upgrading from an 8 year old to a 4 year old system.
                              I would renew everything.
                              Always great to have a new fast system you use every day for many years.

                                                  OP, depends on the use case. For anything with visual media creation (photo or video), I'd go for 64GB+ of RAM. For almost any other use, that is already plenty.

                                                          i just change my HDD to SSD for 100 bucks

                                                          instead buying new lenovo laptiop i5 costing $1500

                                                                  You don’t need an i9 for normal daily tasks those who say you do are just wrong or misinformed some people get the i9 just because they want the latest and top of the line when it’s nowhere near needed
