Would you get away with it? Probably yes, but why though? Why go through the trouble when you can just use the real performer's ID and paperwork? The crime has no payoff and huge, career-ending potential downside if discovered.

You misunderstand. I'm well aware of the requirements for a professionally produced piece of content - I've been shooting porn for sale since 1986!
Im talking about the compliance from the other side of the coin - The platforms side - Girls uploads video of herself with a dildo, shot on her iphone propped up against a book. Platform says 'Submit IDs' - She submits her ID...
But if she never shows HER FACE in the content she uploads, how does anyone know that its the girl who sent her ID in, or somebody else entirely in the videos?
That's the side of the fence I am talking about... If they are happy to go ahead with that content for an 'unknown' then its a bit rich for them to be requesting the back of IDs for content shot years ago... That's what I was getting at...
As far as I can tell, its just a big 'pantomime' with the faceless creators, but everyone else has to do it properly...
