I was hoping to avoid this, but looks like I will have to state the obvious.
This is how a smart person sells tube traffic, and the people behind TJ are smart:
1) Create ad zones and put up affiliate ads
2) Calculate, based on PPS/revshare results, the CPM value of each zone
3) Use a bidding system to sell the traffic.
4) Buy your own traffic by bidding just below your calculated CPM value
5) When someone bids above your own bid --> $$$ PROFIT MORE $$$
The purpose of this whole skinning is to find someone who can convert tube traffic better than the people who own the tubes can.
It's not easy, but if you can do it, you stand to make A LOT of money since there is A TON of traffic.
And if you can't do it, it doesn't mean that it's impossible. Someone will.
Of course, since you are dealing with thieves, expect the method to be stolen

Actually this is what I bet:
It MIGHT convert for SOMETHING, but they don't know what - so they'll give/sell spots until someone starts continuing to buy spots, meaning it's converting for what they're selling - then they'll stop selling spots and will instead simply sell whatever that person is selling.

That is how all traffic is sold long term, the best guys convert it, cont to buy and the price is set.
From what I've seen I doubt anyone can convert it at the rates that were quoted in a diff post.
But we'll see how the prices go for tube traffic as time goes on.
It is pretty shitty traffic. Bottom line. Esp at prices that are higher than most other sources.

It leaves almost everyone out of the loop.
There is so much money behind TJ that they can duplicate most products/services.
So, those who know how to convert tube traffic would be doing it on a small enough scale to stay under the radar. Maybe it's even mmcfadden himself.
Don't cry for Joe WM. Joe doesn't have a pile of money invested in content and servers and billing systems and support.
When something stops selling for Joe, he simply moves on to something that does sell.

Obviously as you say they are smart and it will be monetized. The best method or product will convert it.
As you say when dealing with big traffic that it is the way to do it.
Big traffic = big competition.
Maybe I should grab $100 and try. I might be able to crack 1:1333 seriously.
But I doubt it
