Hello Shimmy - first off thank you for posting the video - I watched it all the way to the end and was heart broken to hear what had happened and obviously what is currently happening to you and others. It was very eloquently spoken and powerful message and to be honest - never could I imagine that this takes place here. I'm sure you may feel I'm sheltered.

I especially was moved by the horror that this has caused upon your family. As you may or may not know that I am a father of 5 kids living about an hour south of Toronto. Hearing you my blood boiled thinking of being torn away from my own family.

Going through my mind I can't think of any way that I could help yet I also wonder if you would want my help - so saying that - I can understand a bit more now why you feel as you do. My skype is in my sig if you change your mind.

The majority of Canadians are peace-loving and welcome many different cultures. I'm surrounded by Asians and East Indians where I live. I feel I'm in the minority and I was born here. Try understanding my post first before being ultra defensive, I never called a country racist. I was referring to Spunkys reply, that's it, I wasn't comparing countries. There's racism in all countries, but that has nothing to do with this thread unless you're here to deflect because your hyper sensitive about Canada criticism.

The real irony is that Shimmy posted a story of being racially targeted and marginalized and in the midst of Spunky being defensive about Canada, he displayed the same prejudice Shimmy was referring to.

Now - as for what happened to you - CBSA officers can detain a foreign national or permanent resident at a port of entry if: it is necessary to complete an examination. there are reasons to believe that the person is inadmissible on grounds of security, violating human or international rights, serious criminality, criminality or organized criminality

You're stating that it was because of your color yet millions of color make it through without a problem - so there was something about you they found suspicious. I'm surprised they didn't give a reason why you were detained much less sent back. There had to be a reason that you're not saying.

There are several possible reasons for a Canadian to be denied entry to the United States of America: Criminal Inadmissibility - If you have ever been convicted of a crime in Canada or abroad, even if it was 20+ years ago, you risk being denied entry to USA.

Now the question is - did they take away your passport? deny you reentry?

In rare circumstances such as serious criminality, even a Canadian Permanent Resident Card (Canada PR Card) holder could be deported or refused entry at the border. If you have been denied entry to Canada, it may be possible to obtain the notes of your border denial from the Government.

The point is they simply do not and can not just put you back on a plane - you have to have gotten papers with an explanation as to why. Did you remove your passport - then again they have to give you a reason on paper.

Again this isn't a race issue since Canada and Toronto airport allows millions in per month who have different skin tone and they flow through nicely. So what was their reason?

oh and btw - not sure what it's like in Thunder Bay - but where I am at - delivery drivers adn those working in the service industry are a balance of white and black. I order from Skip many times among other places and actually it's more white people delivering.

If there is prejudice it's more towards iindian status but that is slowly changing. Our whole community is multi-cultural - and guess what - "whitey" doesn't care. Everyone works together - even my eldest works alongside many cultural diverse people - and at school - all my kids have friends from different races.

Did you get your passport back and refued entry any time?

Quick answer to your questions:

- Canada permanent resident since 2008. Landowner, business owner, 2 kids, taxpaper, etc
- No criminal record or arrest record only parking tickets
- Forcefully denied entry, cannot return to canada.
- Paid 6500cad to a lawyer for a zoom call with the so called Minister of Public Safety in Ontario, deemed "not a threat" etc. Useless
- Wow they give european Ukrainians with no docs $3000 each on arrival. White power brother

Didn't they give you any reason? they had to give you paperwork as to why you were not permitted in or banned - they just can't randomly do that without reason. I'm surprised the lawyer wasn't all over that demanding to see their report or reason for that.

If not then highly suggest you call and get interviewed at all the major media outlets - denied and banned with no paperwork or reason. That's what sounds odd to me.
