I suspect they would have been better off staying in the UK, and making sure you got in the press more than boring dull william and dull kate.

Think about it. As Prince he is unable to do a simple thing like going to a pub near the seashore without it being a major production. A simple thing like walking into a store and buying a girlfriend a gift requires a large production detail.
