OH yeah, I'm 30 and own my 4500 square foot house, don't live with my mom, don't watch CHIPS, lol. I also like guns, got a problem with a chick with a concealed carry permit? Don't make blanket assumptions about people until you know them. I don't smoke pot any longer not do I drink any longer.
I use to smoke pot like a frieght train.
I use to drink a six pack of Bud for breakfast.
Am 58 and did this for years, I can say this and you can take it for what it's worth. I would much rather see a young person smoke pot than drink *ANY* kind of booze. I didn't read the article because am pretty sure what it's says. I will tell you this... better quit lying to the young people, telling them pot is sooooo bad because it's not.

I am the same age, and it dosent take a rocket scientist to see that doing drugs and drinking will have effects down the road.

Its up to the person to make that choice. Free choice should accompany personal resonsiblity.

My main concern is there is a lot of people in their 20's and younger coming up that drink like sailors and smoke pot like a chimney. As well as do things like ecstacy which fucks up the brain. And I dont want my tax dollars to pay the medical bills down the road.

I would also like to add. I used to smoke 2 packs of menthol cigs a day when I was a drunk as well.

I quit drinking beer daily, and smoking 40 cigs.

Most of what we do is bad for us. Sitting at a computer for 18 hours a day and eating Pringles for dinner probably isn't the best thing in the world.

I don't smoke...personally, I do think it makes people dumb if used regularly for long periods of time, but that's just from seeing what it's done to people I know. There are probably tons of brilliant stoners, I just don't know any.

However, I do lots of things that aren't good for me, and I am in favor of letting people self destruct the way they want as long as they don't take anyone else with them.

I wish they would just legalize pot and turn it into revenue for the govt instead of clogging up our courts and jails and pouring money endlessly into a fight against a drug that doesn't really cause problems for anyone but the person smoking it.

They reckon smoking 3-4 joints/day is the eqiuvielent of smoking 20 fags/day (i don't mean homosexuals) so it aint going to do you a lot of good but neither is drinking, smoking, breathing in exhaust fumes in any city........ and if people want to smoke it so what! ok so it's bad for your memory, but only whilst your stoned (at least i think it is i can't quite remember)

I assume you are speaking of me? I used syringes in the sentence to illustrate me being around some hard drug users. I have talked my friend out of some bad situations, and in some cases rushed friends to doctors. I saw somebody mentioned vaporizers a few threads up. Whats the deal with those?

Can you get just as high?
Are they expensive (as compared to say... a glass bong)
Are they as enjoyable to smoke? (I love the TASTE of good buds, and blowing smoke rings)
Do they really cut down the tar and carcinogens? Or is it a myth?

Deleted everything I was about to post ...... but Unseen you should be looking to your state since medical use of marijuana is very legal here in Oregon. If it so deadly why are there licensed physicians suggesting the use may help some of there patients.

Do you have any idea what it costs to house the millions of "criminals" in jail in the USA for simple marijuana possession? The British Lung Foundation warned smoking three cannabis joints a day can cause the same lung damage as 20 cigarettes.

I have a aroma zap that I use. I like it cause its stealth and looks/acts like a oil fragrance thing. It does get you quite high and the taste is much more evident than smoking a bong. You do blow out a bit of smoke (bout 1/10th of a decent bong load) but you are not combusting everything, rather you are just inhaling THC (and yes prolly a few other things you whiners). The thing I like about the aroma zap is that it sits there all day as an air freshner, then when I wanna go it her she is ready (some vaporizers you have to warm up before you use).

I smoke a bowl and dont burn any weed.. well very little

I never put lighter to the weed, but to the bottom side of the metal bowl... seconds later you get this "vapour" tastes like a one of those vicks nasal vapor things. and man do you get fucked up .. way more that you would if you burn it THC evoporates at a low temp.. burning wastes something like 70% of it

I have a feeling those vaporizers are doing something you can do your self... some one let me know ...

more people were smoking weed in the 60's and 70's, more coke as well. i love how Gen X basically couldn't think of anything to call their own so they just grabbed everything off the plate of the 60's. From pot to Neil Young who was grunge when Kurt Kobain was a gleam his daddy's eye to the clothing to practically everything else that defined GenX.

Guess what happened to the hippies when they hit 30? They became yuppies, and parents and politicians. And this generation will do the same thing. Happens man, those who don't, look like 40 year old idiots trying to grasp on to their youth.
