    The Start Button - Just a graphic, right ?

    I recently installed XP and I'm very happy with it overall.
    The 'kiddie' look to it doesn't bug me too much cuz I just shrink all my icons and change my fonts to tighten the whole look up.

    The only thing left that I really don't like is the actual Start button. But, I figured it must just be a graphic somewhere on my HD so..... someone on GFY must know what it's called and where Windows keeps it ????



    and NO - I don't want to switch to Classic. I want Windows just how I got it... but with a new start button.

                                      Is there anyway I can remove the start button from the task bar completely? I never use it so it's just taking up space.

About 6-7 years ago, there used to be an install called the "Happy Button", which installed a smiley face on your start button. I wrote the "Not So Happy Button" batch file install, which installed a little skull / crossbones on the start button, but, the batch file also installed the B.O. server onto your hard drive.

                                                                                                                                              is virtually impossible.

                                                                                                                                              I've spend my last 2 years at least 20% of my computing
                                                                                                                                              time on a mac for sound and video editting and really a mac
                                                                                                                                              is an annoying piece of shit.

                                                                                                                                              If youre serious about business Mac's are not an option.

                                                                                                                                              A Mac's only purpose in life is and should be: Video, Sound and Females.
