yeah, i saw it. my girlfriend works a block away from the a theatre, so she picked up tickets on her lunch break.

the movie is really good, and definetly worth seeing.
not to mention brittany murphy is hot.

Took both my boys and a friend of theirs to the noon showing locally. Theater wasn't even half full. Sure it was a different story this evening.

Didn't see it... From the trailer, it looks like it might be more than just an Eminem vehicle, but frankly I don't think the guy deserves this much attention. He's just not that talented or interesting. Just happens to be a white guy who Dre thought was cool.

I've been to St Claire Shores, and will be again in december. I didn't see it at all as being a "lower class white ghetto"...certainly not rich, but my friends home included a family room, living room, dining room, eat in kitchen, 4 bedrooms, deck around the pool and a pretty big yard..also a full finished basement. If that's lower class...you MUST be rich!

Ever tried Hollywood.com? You can buy tickets in advance, you still have to stand in line to pick up the ticket (which sucks, and which Hollywood.com should fix), but you will have a ticket.

I bought tickets from hollywood.com for jackass. At the theatre there was atm looking machines where you just swipe the credit card you orded them with, and it gives you your tickets.

I like Fandango.com a little better because you can print your own tickets for most movies (although you usually get the stupid fuckface with the IQ of swiss cheese wondering if the tickets are real or not)

Really? After my experience with Hollywood, I went back to either buying tickets in line or from a machine in the theatre (like someone mentioned above). I didn't know Fandango let you print out your own ticket. I wonder what they do to prevent counterfeiting?

They offer 'print at home' tickets in about 40 or 50 theaters nationwide. If I use Fandango, it's for a local theater where they have a kiosk to pick them up at rather than having to still stand in line at the windows.

Different theater chains use different online ticketing groups. I don't have any local to me that use Hollywood.com.

they showed all the shitty parts and they had a fabricated st andrews for the main club they went to. the rest of it was pretty shitty and they didnt show any of the few half way decent areas we have downtown.

the trailor park that the movie was shot in was on the north side of 8 mile, i wouldnt exctly call that a rich neighborhood. you gotta go further north to get the more ritzy double wide trailors.

They faked it? Like filmed it elsewhere and called it St Andrews? Thats mad gay. St Andrews is my favorite place for shows. Esp when they have shows at the Shelter as well so you can see them both. You ever been to Mr. Muggs?

they actually called it the shelter... which was true. it was the closest thing to having a real name in the movie. they had everything setup to look close to the alleys and stuff around st andrews but the actual building was some kind of set they built that looked kinda like a old church similiar to st andrews but it wasnt really that close. no i never even heard of mr muggs. i go to st andrews for any hiphop show they have there and i go on sundays some times. i used to go fridays (which they were reiacting in the movie) but now a days it sucks. its my favorite place to go cause i never have to pay cover any shows there and its more up close, i cant stand shows at the palace and places like that.
