Not discounting anything, just pointing out that when conservatives in the minority and unhappy, you get this. When liberals are in the minority and unhappy (as in the first 6 years of Bush), you got... nothing like this.

My views are the views of some of those speakers. Not all of course. The underlying FACT that Washington is out of control and has been for quite some time. FOX and the right has taken over what was originally grassroots efforts. I was part of the initial effort. At the very first protest in my town with roughly 100 people. Last few I've attended including today's thousands of people. It only gets bigger from here.
Government has been nothing but a complication in my life for as long as I can remember. Without getting to personal should I start where my house was swat teamed at age 13 because I didn't show up for the start of the school year? Or where on that same day they took my younger sister off to live with some unknown "family" and wouldn't allow anyone in the immediate or extended family to have any more than short term visits for over a year until the courts decided where she was going to live?PLEASE WAIT WHILE BIDEN ADMIN UNINSTALLS ITSELF.....

I can't speak for everyone else but I was railing against Bush since he took office. I was warned about him during his first campaign from sources well aware of his families activities. Sorry to burst your bubble but they don't send a swat team to your house just because you don't show up for school. And as for your sister, they tend to not just take kids out of a house for no real reason. I think there are some minor details missing from your story.Comment

Well you now have personal confirmation of him being at least correct in that. And that was over 22 years ago. You can only imagine whats going on now. I have many other personal stories I could add which could and would confirm some other things he says. Fox News didn't stat it all. They are co-opting and taking credit. There are people among the Washington crowd as well as the hundreds of others across America today and previous days having many different issues with the government. Obama supporters and the government want it to be about Obama and his race because they don't want to address those issues. If there is an ugly custody battle where the courts ultimately decide that neither parent is fit I can see them taking the kid away. I would assume it is a pretty extreme case, but I could see that happen.
But a swat team didn't storm your house because you didn't show up for school. Unless the reason you didn't show up for school was because you were busy calling in bomb threats or something crazy.Comment

Like I said before I think this whole thing started out as a real grass roots thing, but the republicans got a hold of it and turned it into a tool that they are using to try to reconnect with their base.
Here is a great quote from the article. This is from Sal Russo, a former Reagan staffer who is now working full time organizing tea parties. His started goals for the movement are: "They have three goals: Defeat President Obama's health care reform efforts, win back the House and Senate in 2010 and take the White House in 2012. "
Nothing about spending less or balancing the budget or being less corrupt. Nothing about halting the wrongs of the government. Just stop health care reform and win elections. Sounds familiar.Comment

It wasn't because of parents being determined unfit. My mom is/was a computer programer. Dad was an executive for a large insurunce company. Both made very good moeny and intelligent. I was old enough to make a decision on my future. My sister on the otherhand was not. The ultimate reason IS because I didn't show up for the start of the school year and no it had nothing to do with anyone doing anything illegal. Yes there was more to it all (other parties) but again I'm not getting into that. It was that simple without the other details. It did happen the way I explained.
