It acts like it wants to load but taking its sweet time about it for sure.

loads in a little faster now. Might be because the flash is cached now, but takes around 30 sec to load now

Pingdom.com is a great tool to help with the above because they have multiple geo locations their Tests are run from which, it the site's not down, can help you track down where the problem lies

I think you would be surpriced how many times those claims DDos attacks are nothing but a misconfigured router
