    Teen Lottery Winner Says She's Broke

    A young woman who won over $3 million in the lottery when she was just 16 says she blew it all on wild shopping sprees, breast implants and cocaine.

    Rogers, from Cumbria in northwest England, was a shop assistant when she hit the jackpot in 2003. Now 22 and the mother of two young children, she says she has about $32,000 left.

                          but having 32,000 isn't broke. that's plenty enough to invest into something if she's smart about it. and it says she has already purchased a few homes. at least she has a place to live. she could probably sell off a few cars too.

                          but fuuuuck 400,000 on coke. I'm surprised no one died. that's a lot of blow to do in 6 years. I think when I was doing it I was spending about $50 a day. that's only 110,000 in 6 years LOL.                               A $1 million lottery ticket didn't help Wayne Schenk of New York at all. He was diagnosed with lung cancer and given less than a year to live in 2007, a few weeks before scratching off the winning numbers. But lottery rules prohibited a lump-sum payout, so Schenk couldn't pay for treatment. He died about three months after winning, and only received one $50,000 check. He is shown in February 2007.

                                                          If you are not used to money and suddenly have millions to spend, it's very easy to screw up. They should include financial advisers with high lottery winners.
                                                          People that win 10 million think 'i have 5 million for a house, 2 million for a boat, a nice car, etc' but they forget that with a 5 million dollar house you also need some staff for the garden, the pool, and just the yearly costs of maintenance on the house are huge already. Same with a boat, lots of costs for maintenance, staff, the money it costs to have it in the harbor etc. And before they know it they have nothing left.
