    Should Public School Kids Be Forced the H1N1 Vaccine?

    I'm torn on this one because an outbreak would cause an immediate harm to the community. By default, any thing that causes an immediate harm should be taken care of immediately.

    Forcing the H1N1 vaccine without my permission would be a slippery slope. What else would they force on the public???

                              As ive said many times, when it comes down to it, the government can enter your home, guns drawn and nothing you can do except go along with it or die. They do it during hurricanes, and they will certainly do it during Swine Flu outbreak.

                              They make sure to make the laws to be able to do what they need to control the population during crisis.

                                                                                                  My mom is a nurse in a hospital. I called her last night to see what was up and she was sick as a dog. She told me she started with a sore throat yesterday morning and I called her around 8:30 pm. She sounded like death warmed over. I am hoping she doesn't have swine flu. She told me 3 of the girls she works with have this same "cold". My mom is in her 60's and has asthma. She gets up every day at 4 am to work full time. I told her she needs to take better care of herself. She's not a spring chicken anymore.

If you want to be specifically technical the only thing that any one dies from is heart failure...in that ones heart quits beating...but it often quits beating because of "related causes" such as "flu related causes".

                                                                                                                                                              I can understand that, but once your child is part of public school system, and during the hours of school, she is under state control and if they feel she must be vaccinated, she will be, or she will not be attending school anymore. They can contain your child without even informing you, police can question her, FBi etc,... all without your concent.

                                                                                                                                                              And as someone who went to private school, I can assure you, parents of private school kids will not want her in their class unless vaccinated, so one way or the other, everyone will go along with plan.

                                                                                                                                                                          Although states may vary, there is no state that just allows all its kids to enter school without some form of vaccination, not sure why the need to debate this as it is pretty common sense that kids are vaccinated before attending school.

                                                                                                                                                                          Your link only suggests that you become informed on what your state allows and doesnt, and what is required, nowhere does it say you are not required to conform to the states demands. Are their exemptions, I am sure, but that does not negate the requirement of the state. In fact, your link states that if you challenege the vaccination you may find yourself in litigation brought by the State against you.

                                                                                                                                                                                          Im not saying dont get your kid vaccinated, you are just misinformed about the number of school children that are vaccinated.

                                                                                                                                                                                          And of course the state can change their laws. I am not debating that.
