I'm gonna share a TRUE story - Think back to 2001 - The internet is relatively new (to the average person) and porn is becoming readily available... Loads of guys are getting online and asking 'How do I get into porn then?' So my wife, sets up a site...
The short version is there's a good few pages of waffle to encourage guys that this is a 'way in' and uses her name and reputation to back up her claims. In a nutshell, for £30, she will send you a booklet with all the advice you need, and also a 'Golden Ticket'
What is this Golden Ticket? Well, she will personally arrange a try-out with a top level pornstar. All you need to do, is to get your 'certs' (Your Ticket To Work as they say) then she will arrange a professional hardcore shoot for you, and what's more, provided you can perform, she will then vouch for you and put her name behind yours as you move into the industry. Its a guaranteed 'In' to the biz, a guaranteed fuck, and its only £30...
Guess how many took her up on the offer? Well, I'll tell you later... As for now, here's how it worked. Yes, you did get a booklet, with good advice in it. And you got a chance to fuck her, for her site, provided you got certed first... We expected a good response, and avoided making the connection that it was her you would be fucking, as we didn't want to be 'selling a fuck' We wanted guys who seriously wanted to get into porn.
The plan was to have a steady stream of fresh faces / new guys turning up regularly at ours, meaning we didn't need to travel, and getting loads of content for her site, at no cost to us. Should the guys (as we kinda expected) NOT be able to get it up and perform, then that was fine. We could just shoot simulated softcore - It didn't matter what they looked like - We could tailor a shoot to the guy - So a fat ugly guy would be a 'gamer' or a real hunk would be something upmarket...
Of course, if they COULD perform, then all the better ! we'd get some proper hardcore action shot for her site. And true to her word, the guys details would be passed on to other production companies who were starting to spring up all over the UK (Porn had JUST become legal) most of whom, were already looking to us for guidance and advice anyway, because we had been producing since 1985, well before it was legal...
So... Win / Win right? It was never about us wanting £30 - We wanted a fresh supply of male talent - The £30 was only to prove they were serious...
So anyhoo... How many bought the booklet???

Just ONE fucking guy!
He was great! Turned up, did a fantastic job, we passed on his details only to find he had decided not to continue and disappeared !!!
(I'll poost the link to the site via wayback if anyone is interested in seeing it, but it looks a bit shit now TBH - Even for late 2000 / early 2001)
