I just buy the packets from the salad bar now.
This thread made me gag though ... when I was a younger bachelor, I hard curdling milk sitting in my fridge on more than a few occasions.
To give you an idea how I lived back then, I also had an unopened box of new pots and pans sitting on the counter for NINE months.

all salad dressing in this house is made here. oldest we have is 3 days old vinegar with a couple crushed garlic cloves in it. we start a new one of those every other day and mix the oldest one up into a vinegrette for that nights and the folloing nights salad. somehow this is one of the most structured things we have in the kitchen.Comment

At the tattoo shop I used to work at they had a dead leopard gecko in the freezer that had been in there for 5 years... it was pretty weird.. it was sealed in a ziplock back and was preserved pretty crazy.. almost like mummified..
We also had a mummified cat sitting on the top of that fridge.. the owner was kinda a freak.. eventually I threw them out.I'm here for the violence!Comment
