If this question can't be answered, how do we know what they're doing is considered black hat? They have an ass load of backlinks. A very big ass load. The result you get from that doesn't even do it justice. That goes about 44 pages deep. They probably have double or triple that amount. Why are you making a fuss dont you look at alexa website they got like 1,300 back links and redtube has over 3,000 backlinks . They maybe also doing something shady as well but that should do em for a pr5 and porn hub is like 8-9 years old.

they've got a ridiculous amount of irrelevant backlinks too, they probably outsourced a bunch of third world link building or something (actually they probably do that on a continuing basis).... it would be hard for anyone to catch up even if they tried once they have the aged lead on the competition already, unless google decides to spank them for something (but it seems that google loves them anyways)

this thread is a prime example of how dumb this industry is.
They've been a pr5 for a long time. PR matters a lot. people misunderstand completely WHY it matters. their sites do well because someone is out there hustling back links day in and day out. he does it on forums, he does it by icq, he's relentless and he doesn't stop. buying links, trading links well etc. thats why a few tube sites are on top for almost every relevant phrase (keez, pornhub, tube8 et al). same people. same guy. same tactics. there is nothing "black hat" about it. very simple methods exercised with fanatical consistency over a period of time.
in the meantime, in 2009 ... 98% of this industry is totally baffled by SEO 101.
