    My blog provider closed down all blogs!!

    Hi,

    I am a bit stressed and annoyed. My free blog provider Pornblink.com closed down all blogs without any notice. The blog worked on Saturday and today, Monday, it's gone, together with all pornblink blogs.

    Now, I am new to this business but this can't be normal, can it?? Shouldn't the owner atleast let us know?

    Is there anyone else out there that have experienced this before? Any advise on how to continue. I feel a bit robbed since I spent a lot of time on it searching for material and link friends.

      Yep. Just move on and try another free blog host which is stable and have some experience

          Yep, that happened to me once also. Actually all these free blog hosts tend to disappear a day. That's why it's better to have all your main blogs on your own hosts.
          Though nobody can guarantee that your host provider will be stable as well.

                      Anytime you use a free anything, this is exactly what you can expect. The lesson here is don't use free blog services. Don't use free web hosting.

                              Well, I guess I learned the hard way then, which kind of sucks but OK, you live you learn.
                              From now on, I will NEVER use free blogs or free hosting...ever again.

                              And to all other noobs out there reading this, DON'T follow my example by getting free blogs or hosting, not worth it!

                                                                      There's quite a few really good free blog hosts which are more likely to in it for the long haul. Some that I like are Smut Blogs, Xlogz and WAQN.

                                                                                                  It looks like pornblink.com expired, it's pointed to some domain parking page now. So they didn't just delete your blogs, it looks like the owner just didn't give a shit about the site and let the domain expire.

                                                                                                  If you don't want to pay for hosting go with someone who's been around. Sensualwriter.com and thumblogger.com are good blog hosts, the same guy owns them and he's been around a long time. You're also welcome to use mine in my sig. The site is on it's own dedicated server and I have no reason to ever let it go. I still have adult domains I registered back in 2003.

                                                                                                      If you need a reliable/cheap/adult friendly webhost, I recommend you have a try to Hostgator, it is the one I use and I am very happy with them so far.

Yes, I have definitely learnt my lesson and hopefully other newbies like me learn from my mistake. Eventhough the blog was only a test to see how everything works, it still is really annoying when after all the hard work, the host takes everything down.

                                                                                                              I wont ever again use a free host of any kind, have already started to buy domains and I have a server to host them on, so the old cheap me is out the window.

                                                                                                              Btw, spoke to the owner, he said that he had to close down the blogs och try to sell his domain, he could no longer afford to have it.....a shame he couldn't let all the bloggers know about this before it happened.

Sucks but what I suggest is at the very least save your coding in a file so you can translate that to another free host. Just save every post in a file. Just my opinion.

                                                                                                                                      Well, after a month I got in contact with the blog provider again and abra-kadabra, they had decided to keep going but with some great upgrades. The server is bigger and the upload speed is much faster than before.

                                                                                                                                      Sometimes I guess you have to have patience. So now my blog is back online and better than ever. Also the guys working at pornblink are very helpful and is checking up on me, so to speak, thank you very much . That is very appreciated by a newbie.

                                                                                                                                      Just wanted to update you all here and hope that more former pornblink blog owners sees this and will be able to restore their blogs just as I did.

                                                                                                                                                  takes a bit longer to learn but u get to keep all your traffic and you know for sure your blogs wont disappear...
