It's illegal for people under 18 (21 in some states) to serve alcohol. Since a large part of the staff of US fast food joints is made up of 16-18 year old teenagers, that's one factor.
Americans are also the type who will sue McD's over too hot coffee. Imagine if you gave us beer.Comment

In Philipiines they have rice, Spagetti, and fried chicken (no chicken nuggets) on the menu; they also deliver.
