Well, I owe an apology about the photoshopping comment,
I just saw the ahref's rating at 27
with 150K backlinks
and with 44 it's at 170K backlinks
I didn't have time to see which backlinks are gone when it's at 27.
Probably one of the high authority sites with site-wide backlinks is sometimes unreachable for Ahrefs crawlers, could be that links really aren't present, maybe a rotating script, or due to server issues/downtime of the site with the backlinks.
Still I wouldn't worry if it goes back to 44
