I'm about to pay some guy $1k, but to do that I have to load the funds into my epassporte account - and that costs me $50 to do.. that's freaking insane

I only use epass when I absolutely positively have to. I passed on a designer last week cuz he'd only take epass.
It's not even the fees I get so pissed off about. It's the fact that it takes like 10 days to get cash from my bank account to my epass account. Sucks.

Epass doesn't charge 5% to pay someone. You are talking about the fee for sending money from your bank account to your epass account, and that is different. I believe paying someone with epass costs less than a dollar.Adult Copywriters

Actually you are not quite right.
It is 5% to load by credit card to a standard personal account, not $5. The original poster is right about the fee to load $1,000 by credit card being $50.
The fee for a bank wire to a business account is $30, with a $2 charge per payment to other accounts, not sure what it is to bank wire to a personal account, but I guess it is the same as business ie $30 regardless of the amount. So if you load $10k it is just 0.3%Comment
