How long do you wait for a site to respond to you?

What's going on with the platforms?

I've contacted many sites to either sign up as an affiliate or to ask a question and almost
never get a response. The latest is TourofBooty because I tried contacting them on the
    6th and still nothing

    Are all these sites abandoned?
Did Covid or its vaccine kill the owners?
Or has making money become obsolete?

My basic reaction is that if a site doesn't respond to a query -- sent as specified at their affiliate portal -- with three days, or a week at the outside, they aren't worth fucking with. No matter how great their historical glory, it means that TODAY they aren't on top of things. And if they aren't answering their email on time (relatively easy) they aren't sending payment in a timely fashion either. (Paying on time is the hardest thing for any business to do, because paying money is psychologically painful to most business people).

Same issue here. Sometimes, after weeks or months when they answer back, I totally forget what was all about and why I contacted them in a first place.

^^^ I completely agree with you. Sites that are unable to respond to a request in 3 or 4 business days are, for me, dead sites and I do not wish to do anything with them.

Not just support but approval process as well - i remember it took one sponsor whole year to approve me so kind obvious how i didn't continue to do anything with them.

Yes, exactly. After you see something like that, you already lost a will for cooperation whatsoever. Like it's not in their best interest to work and get some interest (money) out of it.

What do you have to offer them? A lot of programs aren't going to reply to a bunch of questions that are a waste of their time. Can you send 5-10 joins per day or more? No? Their time isn't free. It makes sense for their reps to spend time with the guys sending 5-6 joins per day to try and turn that into 9-10 per day.

When I've ran programs, it was pretty much always the affiliates who send 1 join every 8 months that asked 300 questions during the onboarding process. Any experienced program probably just ignores those guys now.

Never really understood why people think they're entitled to someone else's time, especially if you have nothing to give in return.

                        1. They don't even know what I can or can't send them because I don't sign up until I've

Smart businessmen don't post tons of threads on forums asking basic questions all the time, so I guess there's that.

I agree in principle about your #2, but for every 100 people who say "I'll remember that when I'm bigger than you", that happens one time. For anyone who's been around a long time, they're probably willing to take that risk - because they've heard it a thousand times and it's only become true a few of those times, if that.

There's a link seller on here who tried to sell me links at $1500 / yr / site on his whole network of sites. 5k / day for the network - was something like $6k for the whole deal. I simply told him "this is way too much for what you've got - no thanks". He told me sites will be huge one day and I clearly know nothing about SEO because buying link for "potential" is common, yet... I was intending to buy those links to a site of mine that gets 500k SE per day.

And that isn't the first time I've seen / heard that. There's a few other link sellers on here with 10 year old sites still saying the same shit, yet their sites are still tiny. These are the same people expecting programs to bend to their will. ;)

Many have moved to home offices which may account for rep's being lazy - while others simply cut back on staff therefore don't have someone ready to handle it except maybe the owner.

We've all had to adapt and change how we do business. I wish it was 2018 again because
I could be much more comfortable and laid back.

You both make good points about professionalism, wasting a rep's time, etc. But as a Program Owner myself for well over a decade MY personal attitude is this:

If I get a simple email requesting info, or requesting something that isn't found on the Affiliate Program site, then I answer within a day or two. But if I start getting tons of emails about little inconsequential things, and then I look and see this affiliate has sent a grand total of 2 sales in eight months, guess what? I ignore them. Well, being the sweetheart kinda fella I normally am I would respond once or maybe twice but after that....

Understand that most CCBill Programs are small and the owners have probably gone fishin'. For larger NATS-type Programs understand that the Program may be huge, or in another country/time zone, or their English is shit, or they have little to no "reps" full-time anymore (just owners who are busy doing everything else)....

Bottom line: If a Program does not get back to you in a week (MAX) then write them off. Either they are a dead Program, have gone fishin' or don't want to work with you. So fuck 'em and move on.

The best affiliates would never use gfy as a support forum. You can generally tell who has their shit together by the type of questions or requests. The best ones usually need members area access and nothing else.
