    I HATE having to be patient...

    So I've spent the last month building a site (with a lot of help from one of the best designers you'll ever find on GFY, Harvey ) that I expect big things from.

    Early this morning I did the hard launch - big push in my weekly mailer, posts on my boards, links added to my high traffic pages - and so far, *one* sale.

    It's getting traffic, and I know things will be fine...and I know I have to give it time for people to poke around, get the feel for it and so on...but this is the part that I hate, the waiting

          lol...I'd only be marginally more pissed off than I am.
          What's really bizarre is that while I was finishing everything off yesterday afternoon, before the hard launch, I had a sale from the *one* link I already had put up, in a spot that hardly everyone ever sees

              I hear ya...
              August is really terrible in terms of sales. Been pushing a 3 months old website myself during the last 4 weeks. A lot a traffic from SE's yet, still only 2 sales

                  Not sure if it is a paysite but, if you don't get a sale on those you'd have to test it with your own card. Kinda hurting.

                      Nope, not a paysite, and pushing it to all of my own traffic; they're still buying all my other stuff, just aren't biting on this one yet. So far, I'm chalking it up to them watching the free previews first lol.

                                      Don't know about the j/k part - I worked on the finishing touches and promotion all night (so that it would all be sparkly-new when people woke up - then as I was going to bed at 5am, the baby woke up, so I didn't get to sleep until after 7am. So Xanax did me just fine

                                              Over the past ten years the trend we've noticed is sales pick up in Sept. once the horny college kids are back in their dorms surfin' for smut.

                                                      Thanks for the reassurances - but this is a site that primarily depends on my existing traffic, through my own network. They've been spending their usual money today on all my other stuff; they just haven't bit on this site - which is what has me baffled. Usually when I offer something new, everything else takes a dip because they're trying out the new site - but this time, it's like a tree fell in a forest with no one to hear it
