So… Long time no chat! What have all you guys been up to?

Instead of killing myself I chat with my friends online or at the coffee house; and I'm probably going to start pushing a sponsor that pays out $500 per conversion.

Who was the other guy who did MMA and actually won 1 fight? Not a big guy so he was likely in the light weight category.

smoke weed, ride my bikes around or fuck around in the desert with the dog. play bass, write songs, figuring out simple webmaster stuff.

I'm gearing up for reverse shoulder replacement surgery, trying to hold off until the bike ridding weather is gone. so I'm exercising etc. because surgery can be harsh, and not starting a bunch of stuff that i might not be able to finish. like moving lights around and stuff like that.

I definitely have been spending my time more on what I want to do vs just work. Made a lot shooting, but taking on more shoots and giving up more of my personal time is something I will never do again. Was rough and I ended up getting fat and out of shape. Had money, but what is that worth without your health?

I do remember Anthony being the tough Jiu-Jitsu mma guy on the board. Great guy. We are still really good friends.

There was a time when he was doing mma and was a blue belt in Jiu-Jitsu challenging people for charity mma at one of the web shows.

I made a few mentions and nicely said I would beat him with easy.

He had no clue who I was or what my experience was. Then I DMd him my real name and he was able to confirm I got a Black Belt in 2000 from who I told him I got it from.

Then when he came out to LA he stayed with me a bit.

Then we actually went to go train. 🤣

Instead of tapping him, I kept the pressure on him and threw in fake attacks to keep him moving and escaping. Then 5 minutes in, I tapped him nicely because he was about to tape due to exhaustion.

He ran out of the academy and threw up outside and was done! 🤣

We laugh about it still.

But due keep in mind I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 1991 and got Black Belt in 2000. Not a tough guy by any means, but that’s just been my thing for so long.

Won worlds in 2019. Out of 2000 people I was one of 3 of the highest ranking guys there. But to me that just signifies time. I get in regularly with guys that can and are always trying to take my head off. These new generation Black Belts are really good and I stay sharp by always training with high level guys.

I'm trying to get back into BJJ, still haven't found a local gym that I like... The "good" ones are very bro-y and mma-centric, at this point in my life I just want to keep fit and focus on technique.

Also I feel I need to "get in shape" to start training again which is really just procrastination, but I'm terrified of injury now.

Dave, you should start your own site that is a mix of porn and martial arts.

I think his name was Danza or something he has not been around in a long long time if we are talking about the same dude
