For some reason the scene from the movie City Slickers 2 comes to mind, when Phil suggests if he freezes to death, the others can eat him.
Phil: In case we don't make it and I die first... eat me.
Mitch: Eat you? I don't even like talking to you on the phone.

Well its a tradition thats very fucking gory..
Like i said, this is the most troubling thing ive seen.. not because they eat(i dont think they eat the humans) but because of the extreme details while this guy is being butchered.. never seen a human butchered like a cow.. the images will stay with me.._________________

The pictures are far from being extreme although a little gory. If it's the worst you've seen then 'welcome to the Internet'.
Is it not also obvious what these guys are doing? DWB explained it fully but then it was obvious from the start to anyone with an ounce of intelligence and a knowledge that there's a world outside of their own shitty town.

It seems pretty crazy, but I saw a documentary on cultures that clean the bones and some of them keep them in their houses for a time after the bones are cleaned. So while yes, defleshing isn't something we find comforting to look at I'm sure burning a body could look pretty brutal to other ultures, the end result isn't that different from cremains in an urn.
Personally I think people should spend more time with their dead. As creepy as that may sound to some, it really helps with closure. It seems in current American culture we just want to get it away from us, put it in a ziplock bag and bury it away. There's not alot of "honor" and "cherish" in that.Comment

Yeah, we're not used to it, but they would probably say we're sick and disrespectful with our open caskets and embalmed, injected cadavers sporting make-up and cottoned up cheeks...

Was that one of the Taboo series installments? I watched the one where it was how different cultures honored their dead. They showed something similar to the ritual shown above, another ritual done by Aborigine's and then how death is handled in the USA. It was pretty interesting. It seems pretty crazy, but I saw a documentary on cultures that clean the bones and some of them keep them in their houses for a time after the bones are cleaned.
