    Sweet Young Foxes, 1983... What a difference!

    So, not that long ago I had the opportunity to watch this older flick. I gotta tell you.... those older porn movies were so much better than the majority of the newer stuff today, or of recent.

    Sure, the technology and clarity improved, however the acting and story lines fall flat. For example, compare that movie to one from Hustler like, This is not Beverly Hills 90210. It's like night and day.... the Hustler video is almost amateurish in comparison.

    Another good one is an Alice in Wonderland. A porn musical. Great acting, obviously a story lol and even with the cheesy costumes still looks more like a professional production and not like something someone shot in their basement.

    Is there anyone making these anymore? Just curious. I don't really watch porn so not sure what is still being made anymore to be honest.... But I do like these more as they are more engaging than just sex scenes.

    Or has porn become like everything else... make as cheap as possible and maximize profit even at the cost of quality?

    BTW - Not really meaning to trash anything, just making a comparison and stating an opinion.

      I also find these 70's-ish adult films quite fascinating somehow, seen quite a few of them. Titles like "Nude on the Moon". Also, all these softcore titles from that era, as well as all those old exploitation flicks (Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals or Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS, etc... lol).

      About modern "films", I think you are comparing story-driven adult films to plain hardcore scenes, which isn't really a fair comparison.

      There's plenty of more story-driven content still being produced today, most of which with a high production value (in terms of costumes, custom designed set, lights etc). Future Darkly or Girlcore, for example.

                      Porn reflects society and the world certainly has become moronic and lifeless.

                      From about 2010 to 2019 it feels like the world's collective IQ took a 10 point
                      dive. But in the last 18 months it seems like that IQ dropped another 20!

                              You are correct. Apples and oranges. As for others being produced... I am not up on all that... some things just happen to pass by me.
