    Anybody interested in a weight loss challenge type contest

    Over on another board, one colored green, we are discussing doing a weight loss challenge across the summer.

    It would start this coming monday (June 21) and go to September 21.

    Each week you would have to post a pic of your scale showing your weight that week.

    Contest is to lose the largest percentage of body weight across the contest timeframe.

    The prize would depend on how many people entered. We are currently discussing what amount each contestant would put up.

    Three of us did a 3 week version of this and we each put up $50. We are thinking that iuf we lowered that a bit we might get more people. I would like to see 15 or 20 people involved with the more the merrier.

    We can probably do the weigh in pictures both here and at the other board if Mr. Panos and Klen don't mind.

    I will try to keep this thread updated with whatever decisions are made regarding the contest.

    Post here if you would be interested in this.

                              I will definitely reccomend that "no purposeful removal of body parts" be one of the rules. But I don't think we can rule out accidental removal because you know, shit happens.

Slowly trying to make it a new lifestyle. It's a challenge but going well. Most interesting benefit so far, that would keep CurrentlySober far away from a meal plan like this... less time on the toilet!

                                                                                          As someone who has low % of body fat, I have to say that fasting is essential.

                                                                                          Yes, the first few days can be tough but after its easy. You will feel much more energetic. You will sleep less, but feel much better. Your focus should be 10 x as it was.

                                                                                          To all participants, try to lower the carbs, eat more healthy fat, drink at least gallon a water, high protein intake. No milk products, perhaps a bit of organic cheese.

                                                                                          At the end of the day: Calories In vs. Calories Out is what matters the most, at least when it comes to this challenge

(there's always that annoying fine print)

                                                                                              def not joining this challenge as my fam and friends would kick my azz for trying to drop lbs but I'll offer a free pedicure with sparkly purple toenail polish to the winner

                                                                                              to those new to working out, check out p90x, you can start that at any level of fitness. to the fit, Insanity will make you feel like super-woman/man. hard as shit (esp Insanity Max) but so worth it

                                                                                              exercise also decreases appetite. just hydrate, hydrate, hydrate

                                                                                                                                                                                                      My problem though is that I don't really need to lose much weight, I just need to redistribute it. I am 6'3" 185 LBS, and thanks to Covid and my own bad habbits, I now have a gut that I would like to lose.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      So I may not win the contest, but I know I'd win for me. When do we start?
