Do people really prefer dark mode? I never use it on anything. It’s always jarring when someone sends me a screencap and it’s in night/dark mode.

I prefer white mode. Nice white screen, clean..white is the best.

It's not about screen brightness for me. Everything just looks more vibrant (videos, images, etc) against a dark background to me.

Agreed, white mode is much better then dark mode

There's really not much use for dark mode other then to maybe save fossil fuels...

I'm sure on a world-wide scale this will affect electric usage if it was set like this by default.

Thats why I like the way gfy looks. It's basically a dark mode theme.

I only see the icon in chrome, not firefox. It seems like you need to log into your google account to see the icon. It's the brightness icon at the top right.

I'll say this.. my phone has the option to block all of the blue light on the screen and now when I try to go back to ''regular'' mode my eyes hate it.

That blue light is some nasty shit

I have been using dark mode for quite a while now. Mac, iPhone, even youtube on my tv. less light hitting your eyes on a daily basis is worth the switch!
