I think people often forget this is GFY and "fucking around" not "serious discussions on who is legit". Those of you who took the thread title in any way serious considering the content "lighten up".

For those that know me/trust me or would value my opinion in any way would understand it was meant to be a joke. If anything actually promoting dg ( i would consider it bad taste to do the same thing to a company i didnt respect i.e. potshot )

Do you realize how many people don't read the threads and just look at the titles? Ask Eric how many people hit gfy today? Then look at how many people hit this thread. The difference between those two is how many people read a title about DG being scam and don't know it's a joke.

well put. Like i said i apologise to dg if they didnt find it funny. I can't honestly see how it could "hurt" their rep, its pretty golden and this kinda solidifies that. I can see getting miffed but not for long..

perhaps i overestimed some people, the joke was , honest company + outrageous claim = thread views, people read thread knowing outrageous title + outrageous poster = funny thread , laugh and go on with their day after seeing funny content in referenced url.

Smokey, let me try to shed some light, from a business owner's perspective, on why the thread title could be damaging. The main issue with the post is that you're assuming the people who read the thread title are regulars of gfy and are well aware of DG, the brand and their history.

You're not thinking of the potential affiliates that either just don't get the joke, don't know DG, won't click the link or don't frequent GFY regularly to understand the joke and are possibly left second guessing whether they should sign up to DG or a different program.

The two parties should find a way to undo the damage (thread title change, etc.) and just let it go. It consumes time and energy and does not generate any money.

Let's get back to making everyone money, shall we?
