Funny you mention them, I was #26 out of 3 million members, made an average $13,000 a month for 7 months until I fucked up and used an autosurfer, they closed my account and I lost all 33,000 refferals.....oh well they went bankrupt 3 months later.

I didnt generate any fake refs, they were all ligit...I just used some stupid auto surfer so I didnt have to surf those 30 hours a month to get my referral cash....I was stupid, and they caught me on it....but I didnt scam them for any money, other than the measily 50 cents per hour for personal surfing.

Yeah, AllAdvantage did go under right when the Internet Ad Industry crashed. They tried to save the company by switching it's payout scheme, but lotteries just don't work that way. I don't believe them that they didn't lose out to some cheaters. They were definiately part of the problem. They have no idea how easy it is to make a program that fakes surfing, and I know they didn't catch them all. But, the biggest deal is that they missed out on some great opportunities to raise the amount of ad clicks, though. Take a look at Norton Internet Security - they block a lot of webpage ads. Had the AllAdvantage program done that, so they were always the ONLY ad on the screen, then they could have captilized on this a lot more. Another thing is that their programmers sucked... the internet explorer bar had to be the one that was in focus to get paid, yet they had their stupid program bar in the list of programs when you Alt-Tab. Why? If it's in focus, you don't get paid. It is never supposed to be in focus. And it had an annoying feature (to stop cheaters from hiding the ad bar with another window) to regain focus above all other windows besides for internet explorer, which means if you are messing between two files (which lots of people do), you can't alt-tab back and forth. The god damn ad bar would get in the way, but only sometimes. No one could stop the ad industry from crashing single handedly, but they could have improved their software big time to make the crash not hurt so badly.Originally posted by MrPanama

I made about 3G from All Advantage in about a 6 month run ... I had 400 people under me .. and over 300 of them were in my first level ...
It's hard to believe that the 31st largest web real estate in th world, could go bankrupt 3 months later ...
To put it into perspective, it would be similar to eBay! announcing bankruptcy now ...

AA lost losts of money to cheaters. They hired this guy who was supposed to be a members advocate - what a joke. They had all these emplyees that didn't really seem to do anything.
They would have died out anyway - but cheaters made it happen faster. People had programs that would make up referals day and night and run something in the background to make it look like they were on all the time. They even tried signing up people under subaffiliates - so that the subaffiliate would get banned and not them (but they would still get their cut)
Anyone that REALLY had that big of a downline and only used a cheater to surf his time is either lying or an idiot.
They were going after people cheating - it was common knowledge.Comment

I would have been there too but I started in the Internet AFTER AA was out for a year and I was still generating 10 signups per day (1:50 ratio of everyone who read my 'AA page') off very very little traffic.
