    Paysite area managers

    I've seen the following so far:
    a-conman.com $2499
    contentgod (wouldn't pay $1 for it)
    awiz $249

    and just found adultwebware

    Anyone have experience using AdultWebware or AWiz ?
    Do any others exist ?

          the one thing i've been really suprised about with all of these products brujah is that none of them have support for leased products.

          i mean.. we have assloads of custom content.. but probably an equal if not greater amount of leased content.

          without including the ability to manage leased content in a program, they really shoot themselves in the foot as far as getting big guys to use their software.

          unfortunately this is the very reason we have had to write our own.

          lmk if you find any truly enterprise quality stuff.

                      What's the URL of awiz?

                      There's imagefolio (imagefolio.com) but it's pretty limited. I hate most of these script.... you have to work around the script to create the site, and not the inverse. The best is to hire a programmer and build exactly what you want, or ask them to do a modified version of their script.

                                          I looked through that pdf and while it is php so it's editable.. i dont see anything that references content that is not hosted.. e.g. leased content.

                                          it really looks these scripts are going to be more of a headache than they are worth imho

                                                  I've been considering using Zope. Not the solution for everyone but it provides enterprise level content management and layout. You need to know Python (or have a developer that knows python) to really make it 'kick' though.

                                                  It's open source with a pretty large community supporting it.

                                                          Hi just wanted to say that I've been using adultwebware.com's script on two of my sites for a couple months now and they are better then anything currently on the market I have seen. I NEVER have to touch my members areas because they update themselves, all my 3rd party feeds work just fine with the script.

                                                          As for the adultwebware.com staff they are amazing they have added loads of new features that I requested and had them WORKING on my site in just a few days.

                                                          If you looking for a script to run your members area I HIGHLY suggest adultwebware.com.

                                                                          thanks but I already run 6 zope installations, just not for adult web sites (one of them used to be listed as a Zope.org case study but alas, no more). I've found it perfect for corporate intranets and web sites that need to be updated by non-techies (job boards, press releases, etc).

                                                                          Vancouver? What the heck, I'm in a good mood: If you were looking for something to do you should check out the latest cvs for Zope and customize it for adult members areas.... design an ImgGallery product, a LeasedContent product and a tidy looking administration area for webmasters to update content and formatting. Insulate the webmasters from the zope management interface.

                                                                          The end result would be very scalable if you set it up to run behind squid and incredibly versatile. You'd have the advantage of the open source community debugging and enhancing the core zope code and also creating new products which you could plug into existing installations.

                                                                          It would instantly support all of the platforms zope does. Zope even runs on windows (one of my installations is 2 windows 2000 zope boxes behind some load balancing; works like a charm).

                                                                          It would probably only take a couple of weeks if you knew what you were doing. You could either sell it as a product with a support contract or team up with a hosting company to set up a cluster and sell hosting with a built-in members area manager.

                                                                                                              Yes, Gallery is a great script but thats all it is.. a gallery script. It can be slow with just a few thousand images. It isn't very flexible with content display or organization. There's very little management at all. Automatic updates aren't easily achieved. I agree though, that for a gallery script (especially free), it is superb.

                                                                                                                                  And next week a certain major sponsor that would be considered to be among the top three, will be releasing something special for their webmasters that was built atop the Content God engine.

                                                                                                                                  So if top companies paying millions of dollars out to webmasters a month are confident using Content God ... not to mention the many smaller "average Joes and Janes" who have bought it are also satisfied ... I guess I'll just have to live without your $1 somehow.
