Absolutely the single girl site. But it would have to be a very special girl. That certain "it" factor and of course her interaction with the fans. I personally wouldn't touch a "mega site" that has it's content outsourced and no fan interaction. I see the sales (or lack thereof) that they make when I send them traffic. Why would anybody want to join those sites when you can get the full experience of them for free since their members areas are completely ripped in a thousand different places?
So yeah, solo girl without a doubt...or a very micro niche that had several girls that were loyal and exclusive to just that one site and worked on it together to interact with the members. But you'd still need ONE girl who had that undefineable "it"
And that "it" isn't a common commodity. It's rare and the girls that have "it" many times are unaware of it themselves and aren't actively out there pushing for a solo site. Hell, it took me 7 years to convince Claudia-Marie to do a site.-Robbie

Yep, William made millions with Southern Charms by the time he was 25 years old. Totally "square" and super nice person. He and his wife started it and ran the whole thing out of their house...probably still do. Used to be one of my best friends (he webmastered AL4A for us for about a year back in 1998) Haven't seen him since probably 2000.

I love threads where someone is either self promoting or labelled as genius. A good market person knows how to network well - is creative but also trusted by webmasters and reads/learns about the industry to notice any changes needed to bring in sales/traffic etc. - I would honestly say that no "one" person is a genius and if so would not be so arrogant as to call themselves that because they would have recognized that it wasn't their efforts alone that got them thereComment

I always thought the proof of genius was the ability to do it again. Lightspeed had 2 girls go HUGE and one or two others that was really big. Better yet they were different. Not tons but still different. FTV had two huge hits. Not picking on Mayor's money as they have obviously done well.Comment

I think, at the time, the marketing of that site had more to do with it being "high definition" than the actual girl.

I don't want to get too specific just because many of things we did still work today and many still haven't caught on, so I don't want to create more competition for myself.
However, I think its about leading the trends. Like in Stiffycash back in 2000 or so, offering a thing called free hosted galleries, which at the time no major program was offering, now try and find one that doesn't. Same thing with MayorsMoney, we added Flash videos around 3years ago when most webmasters didn't know what they were for because most MGPs wouldn't accept them but now everyone has tube videos.
Now in relation to sologirls, we did alot with geo-targeting and personalization but in a automated fashion because with 1000s of members there just wouldn't be enough hours in the day to say shoot them all a custom fansign when they join. So we built a fansign generator which both sent new members a custom sign with their name and also for webmasters to use to build them for their needs. Its also always about focusing on details like type of font the generator used, which we had made from the girls actual handwriting not some font that you can find anywhere on the net. Now this thread needs a pic, so Brooke made you a fansign...

I've never really gotten too into promoting solor girl sites, but from my perspective if I had to choose the most successful solo girl in the last few years Raven Riley is the first one that comes to mind.
Southern Charms I think is the sleeper of the industry. No one really talks about them much, but they've been around forever with a sizeable army of amateur self promoters.

I happen to know a thing or two about this topic....and I agree that MikeAI at one time was THE MAN in that arena but you guys are leaving out the one TRUE genius of the Amateur market....the one that everybody copied...the one that truly started it all.....Carol and Danny Cox.
Since then there have been many people that have, in one way or another, redefined the market....Mike AI, Steve Lightspeed, 3xTom, and others.....but as far as I can remember nobody can say that they were BEFORE Wild Rose. Carol has changed her site since the old days but originally it was the first, true Amateur Site.

Do you remember diannadoes.com? That site goes back a long way too, although now long defunct, sadly. Dianna and her then husband used to post on porncity back in the day. I did some design, graphics and promo work for them for a while, right up until they got sued out of existance by some local prudes and churchgoers.

The whole "genius" to marketing a solo girl is to realize that there are BILLIONS of people in this world. And for every type of girl there are millions of guys who will absolutely be in love with her.
Then it comes down to IF the girl has the personality and star power and IF you have the brains and the talent to shoot her the way the guys who are into whatever niche she falls into want to see her.
Sounds simple. But the reality is it's almost like aligning the stars at just the right moment in time.
It's usually ONE girl who makes the empires of most solo girl programs.
For Steve, it was without a doubt Tawnee Stone. I must have made a million dollars off of promoting that girl with little more than a banner at the top of Ampland for a couple of years.
And if you look at everyone else it's the same story...one girl is the real star. And that's as it should be. Those kind of girls are RARE. And to have that one girl meet up with just the right person to promote them (knowledge of the niche, of what the fans want, having the expertise to execute the idea) is extremely rare.
That's why there are only a few of them.
You can try to copy them. But it won't work.
Just like I could show you how to play Eddie Van Halens licks on a guitar. But it doesn't mean you're gonna become the next Van Halen.

Nope. I don't know of any true solo girl site that has 10k of active paying recurring members. I think that is just reflective of the fact that there are so many choices out there now. But I can tell you that even having 2k+ of active members paying full price (we don't do trials) makes a few coins to rub together.
Especially for me because my overhead to shoot a scene comes down to just paying male talent a hundred bucks. Then it's all profit.
I'd hate to be the companies that shoot "mega sites" and have to pay the girls all that money to shoot, plus they always have over-bloated production crews with 5 people doing the job that a single person can do.-Robbie
