anyway, what made me post this thread was a vague reference in another thread i just saw plus was on another program site the other day where the term 'marketing genius' was used.
the answer is....................... Mayor from Mayor's Money. Why is he the one marketing genius in my opinion? Because he took a model who was nothing more than average and made a star out of her. Brooke Skye, I was sent that girl by an agent a few days before Mayor signed her - she was just a typical porn content girl, nothing about her said 'solo girl site star' to me. I sent her pics out to my mailing list of exclusive content buyers and I don't think I got one response to go ahead and shoot her.

I don't think I'd place Brooke Skye or Mayor's Money above anything Jenna Jameson or Club Jenna accomplished, though. I mean, he took an average girl and made some perverts pay attention to her. Congratulations...
Jenna, on the other hand, is like 1 of 2 adult models to actually "cross-over" into mainstream. Not to mention the boat load of money she's made by building her brand.
Plus, if you want to label him a "marketing genius", then go ask 100 people walking around any city if they know either of these two names - Jenna Jameson or Brooke Skye. I'd be willing to bet more come back knowing Jenna... to me, that's real marketing.
Not trying to be a douchebag... it's your opinion and I can respect that. I just think because some dude made a successful website off of one of your girls, it fails in comparison...

When I thin of "solo girls" as in I see them EVERYWHERE, I think of Lightspeed and Teen Revenue. I see their girls everywhere, more than anymore else, and I don't even seek out that style of content.

If you had to choose, would you say that starting a single model site is a better gamble today than a typical general niche porn site? I would think that you'd have a better shot at making a run with a single model site if the girl was willing to put in the work... because that business concept can offer the consumer things that tubes can't... like companionship in the form of email/message board contact.
Jerking off to videos and pictures is all well and good, but if you have a girl that answers her emails, goes on live cam, posts on her forum, writes in a blog, really extends herself... I would think the odds are better at getting that initial sale and rebill.
