OK, I get what you're saying. That's a tough thing to deal with on certain color and even-ness of skin tones, and Sandee's is one of them. It's like, you have to eliminate shadows while not eliminating CERTAIN shadows (behind the nose to highlight the edge, for instance) and you have to retouch without retouching too much. If I'm understanding your comment correctly, that is.

That said, from the surfer's point of view, 99.9% of her core audience will be just damn skippy with those pics.

I guess you are right - I focus to much on those details because of my job.

I was thinking the saturation can be toned down a bit. I love it too, but tad overboard on the sat.

And watch with the one arm showing her elbow. Can be touched up to be covered. Wrinkly elbow skin happens to everyone so no worries there, just for a photo not the best thing. But pics are hot no doubt.
