Do you play ice hockey at all. The day starts with a pickup game on staple ice. Bring your whole family to watch you act like Gretzky. Last year he stood in the Zamboni tunnel and watched us play. All about the love of the game! I play on one of the Microsoft Franchise teams up here in Seattle plus run a pick up game for parents with kids that play too. My son and I also take private lessons from a former Thunderbird, plus I hit one or two other pick up games weekly, so definitely I would have to say that I like to play - maybe not the best but certainly not the worst out there usually.
I will bring gear down though for sure. Wouldn't be able to bring my son down then because of school but was planning a trip down when vacation permits - goal would be to catch a Kings, Ducks, and Sharks game. (Last season, my boy got a Sharks jersey signed by nearly every one on the team when he stayed at the same hotel as them in Vancouver.)
When I used to live in LA my roommate had season tickets during the Gretzky years so I enjoyed watching some excellent games back in the day. I got into the Penguins a few years back due to my son (nowadays every kid wants to be Crosby or Ovechkin instead of Gretzky or Lemieux...)
