I have used a few once, and this is the cheapest and fastest http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/creator/

there are better alternatives, but not as light at that

Open office is free and will convert word to pdf.

If you don't want to download open office, then look for PDF995. It is free and will convert any file you can print into pdf. (it acts just like a printer driver)

            Cutepdf @ www.cutepdf.com

Installs a software printer driver that makes pdf creation as easy as printing.

            Free. No watermarks either.

Both above are good options Juicy.

For openoffice you can just download the writer program (like MS Word) to create or open WORD files and export to PDF. Good luck bud.
