Alienware Area 51 is my work laptop but it is designed to play games. It uses desktop processors and video cards in a laptop. Heavy but very fast.

I just bought a MSI GL75 LEOPARD 10SER-269NL instead of an ASus ROG 17 inch i had the last years. Both are good, each t with some issues.

Had problems to find laptops in August, many where sold out.

        everything is fake

Changed batteries, software, but solved nothing. Therefor i went for MSI this time.

I am in all of the Alienware groups on Facebook. I've been using Alienware PCs for the past ten year if only because it's "slightly" more exciting than your standard PC. I had a few Alienware laptops but never for gaming. Everyone with the Alienware laptops complains about heating issues.... Everyone.

Thought about alienware (and almost bought) but ended up with an asus rog zephyrus duo 15 GX550LXS-XS96. Also heavy and fast!

Didn't like that one cause the connection to the screen. Would make the laptop wider and not fit in my bag.

This is the MSI flat one that i wanted, but to fragile for me. Very light 17 inch

Just got my MSI out of my bag. Much better than my Asus Rog the screen, 144 Mhz. I buy every 2 years a new one. Always gaming laptop, but never for playing games.

RTX videocard, 244 mhz, 17 inch are things to look for.

                                Bought last year a Lenovo Legion 5 15IMH05 for ~ 850 €

                                Good performance and battery runtime.

Not overly happy with my Alien. They did not put enough fans and it overheats easy. Have to shut off some of the processors to run an mp4 video.

heating issues are a problem with most gaming laptops. I burned out two gaming laptops in about 18 months before I wised up and got a budget gaming desktop (faster than most gaming laptops) + low-power budget laptop.
